I personally believe that looking back at my groups preliminary task, I have learnt a lot. Before my preliminary task my teacher put the whole class into groups of 3s and told us to practice making some scenes using close ups, match on action, shot reverse shot and many more. That helped the group and me a lot with what the expectations there is and what we would need to do when filming.
Before the preliminary task the people in my group me, because non of us had any sort of experience or knowledge in regards to how to use the Adobe Premier Pro. While editing I learnt a lot of things like how to drag footages, cut sections within the scenes and many more. However, while editing the opening I also learnt how to manipulate the sound of the footage, how to use the transitions better, and advanced the skill of using different effects such white or black dip, auto contrast and many more. No one I'm our group had any sort of experience or knowledge of editing or filming, so we found the work that our teacher gave during lessons and the preliminary very useful, because it taught us the basics, with the camera angles, editing, how to use the cameras that we were given and how to place sections of different scene that we recorded together. I (Navid) was in charge of the camera, while Lara and Yuden were both acting. When it came to the editing I edited all the scenes.
One of the rules that we had to stick with and had to follow was the 180 degrees rule, which allowed continuity with the conversation that the characters that they were having. It also helped us not to have me filming in any of the scenes within the preliminary.

The 180 degree rule wasn’t used in our opening, because this rule applies when there are conversations on TV shows not movies.
We had to use the over the shoulder shot. This is usually used in majority of movies and TV shows to show the reaction of the other character or help the audience to get a perspective of the characters point of view.

This is an example of the over the shoulder shot to when Andrea is talking to the driver. We have improved this from our preliminary, because in the preliminary task the camera wasn’t very steady or straight and we had a very closed surrounding, whereas in our opening we had a lot of surrounding around Andrea when she was walking and when she fell on the floor, showing that she is in a very dangerous area at a very bad time suggesting that she is in trouble. in our over the shoulder shot we placed the camera at a low angle having the driver looking like the person with authority, which this could give the audience as quick sense that she might get into more trouble.
We were also told to use Match on action, which is a shot that involves retaking a scene from different angles. When it comes to the editing of the shot it must be very accurate when you’re putting the shots into continuity. We used match on action when Andrea was
