Pitch
A girl who has schizophrenia is being treated by a therapist. She often talks about her boyfriend, with whom she appears to have a nice relationship, it being the most normal part of her life. However, the therapist beings to suspect not everything in the relationship is all that well, because information comes out that makes it seem as though the relationship isn't only strange, it's impossible
Audience Survey
I believe that the audience for our film would be young adults, and it would probably appeal to girls more than boys, due to the female protagonist and romantic aspect of the storyline. I believe it would be for teenagers, because the main character is supposed to be at collage age. We are going to show her in collage, in a class room, which younger audience would be able to relate to. This also adds to the creepy factor of our film, because it makes the film more realistic to teenagers, making it feel as though it could happen in their life, in their school/collage, to their friends or to them.
Survey Analysis
The reason why we asked our audience what sort of pace they like watching trailers was, because we would like to attract them more toward the movie through something they would like.
Having the trailer more face pace this would be an advantage for us, because we would be able to show all of the footages that we filmed, which could impress our audience. |
The reason why we asked this question was to have an idea of what shot we should take as whole that we would be able to impress all of our audiences.
|
The reason why we asked this question was to have an idea of what to show within our trailer and how to make it appealing towards our audiences.
|
Why we asked this question was because we wanted to make sure that there is equality. Gender is quite important here as it could mean, what types of characters we'll need to be acting, this is so that it's stereotypically interesting to all genders.
|
The reason why we asked this question was to see what horror sub genre to go for and what they would like to see.
|
We thought that knowing where to film teaser trailer would be very good for us and we would be able to get some ideas, but unfortunately the plot that we had didn't really match with the locations that our audience gave us.
|
We tried to ask a very wide question to our audience to see what they like and what they prefer to see in a teaser trailer.
|
Knowing what sort of moments usually scares our audience in our teaser was key for us, because this could attract them to come and see our movie, because that would hopefully attract them.

Shot
We are taking inspiration from the film 'Get Out' with this shot, as it is creepy and, especially on a big screen, someone running directly at the camera is a simple way to scare the audience. They will not be sure what can happen next, as the character will eventually get to the camera and something has to happen, as there is not really any where else they can go. It adds an uncomfortable factor of having the character looking directly at the audience, which is uncommon in horror movies, as there isn't really much need for breaking the 4th wall.
The immediate dart to the side ends the scene, perhaps making the audience wonder what really was so scary about the shot in the first place, as well as creating an enigma; why is the character running. This will be good for our movie, as it sets up a question the audience will want an answer to as it may not connect to any other scene, and they may watch it because of how out of place it seems.

Again taking inspiration from 'Get Out' we want to have a scene in which our main character is smiling, but also crying, because it is direct juxtaposition of feelings that will give the audience an idea that something is really not right with our character. Additionally, having this as a close up makes it almost uncomfortable to watch, as the two pole opposites that someone can feel is bring presented together, in one person at the same time. It's an uneasy shot to see, making it perfect for our film, as we want to express to the audience that our character is highly emotional, and not in a normal or manageable way.
For our scene in a Restaurant, we have been inspired by the movie The 6th Sense, which has a huge twist at the end and this scene in a big indication that something is not right, despite us as the audience perhaps not catching it the first time around. Here, the wife flat out ignores her husband, and we just think it's because she's giving him the silent treatment, but it's actually because he's dead and she can't see him. We want to have a restaurant scene where the audience isn't sure of the reality, whether it be the characters having a nice dinner, our protagonist fighting with her boyfriend, or her alone. This makes the audience question everything they see, which is what we want for the movie.
Orphan is a huge inspiration of ours for our movie, and we included a scene in which our protagonist is having a break down/ panic attack in a bathroom stall, taking similar shots like this one from above to show how inferior she is to her emotions. Additionally, like in Orphan, our scene will be in a school bathroom, to show that she is trying to deal with her emotions and metal state everywhere, but they keep trying to slip out.

Actors
VeronicaThis is Yuden, she is going to act out the main role as Veronica the crazy girlfriend. We thought that Yuden would be a good actor for this role because she has a very creepy yet slightly innocent look about her which is what we envisioned Veronica to look like. Quite innocent and sweet looking with a dark twist. Yuden is also taking Media studies and has formerly acted out in school plays and other short films for school projects which means that she has the experience needed to play the main character.
|
JeremyThis is Durim, he is also going to playing quite a main role as Veronicas boyfriend who is getting treated very badly. We thought that he would be a good actor for this role because although he is the innocent one in the movie he does have quote a evil and dark look about him which we thought would be good in in order to create some confusion and just add a little twist. He also looks very mature and we wanted someone who looks a bit older to make it more realistic. Durim studied drama which he got an A in at GCSE and he also acted in a lot of the school plays and managed to get main roles which means that he would be perfect for this role to make the movie a lot more realistic.
|
TherapistThis is Navid, he is going to playing the part of the Therapist. We thought that he would be good for this role as he has a mature look which would be good for the role as he is going to have to look very professional at all times. Navid is currently doing his second year of media studies which means that he has the experience needed to act out a successful scene.

Costume
This is the costume that Veronica wears during the bathroom scene. We opted for quite dark and dull colours as she is very emotional and is just in a dark mindset through out this scene. She is screaming and crying so we really wanted her costume to represent what she was feeling on the inside and to go along with the dark and smudged makeup look. However, we did want a slight casual feel the the clothing so that she is not represented as a 'bad' character we still want her to have a innocent look about her.
|
This is Veronicas costume for the restaurant scene. We wanted something fancy/causal. We wanted to make it seem realistic
|
This is Jeremy's costume for the scene in the restaurant we wanted something quite smart looking as they are going to a restaurant yet still has hints of casual to it which is why he doesn't have a blazer or tie and the top button is undone.
|
This is the therapists costume for the therapy scene. It had to be very professional and smart looking as he is dealing with a client.
|
This is Veronicas costume for the park scene which was inspired by the movie "Get out" where she runs straight at the camera. We wanted to keep this clothing dark to represent her emotions at the time. This would confuse the audience as to why she is bare foot and wearing such revealing clothing in a park at cold temperatures. The gloomy weather also went along with her attire which we thought was effective.
|
For the park scene we wanted to keep Jeremy's and Veronica's costumes very casual as they're like having some cute relationship moments at the park together just having what was supposed to be a chilled out day.
|
Make up
This is the makeup that I did for the bathroom scene. In this scene we see Veronica going a bit crazy kicking doors and banging hr head against walls. We decided to have very minimal face make up as we would like to keep a slightly innocent look but very dark eye make up which was obviously smudged due to her crying which we thought would give her a more dramatic look.

Location
Location 1: Bathroom
We used the school bathroom as our location because it gives the audience a sense of realism. They could feel as though that is something that could happen to any of their friend and they could be in the bathroom having the same episode as 'Veronica' did. The bathroom stall was also small, which could be making her suffocate and panic even more. Hopefully, the audience could feel how she was feeling, by the confined location. This location was also ideal because there were many objects such as the bin, the toilet, etc that was needed so that Veronica could kick it and channel her anger on to it.

Location 2: Cafe
This location was ideal because this is usually where people go to, to have long conversations, and we thought it was a pretty casual place to speak about Veronica, so that the audience don't get too much information that she might have real problems that they need to find a more private and formal location. it was also ideal so that we could have the 'staff' come and get them coffee, to try and make it as realistic as possible.

Location 3: Interview room
This location was good for our setting because it looked like a therapist's room by making it very professional, but at the same time, it looked relaxing and a place where the patient can feel calm. It required not a lot of changes to the room, so we only had to move a few chairs here and there so it was was very convenient. It also had good spacing and it was easy to put the camera in places to get good shots.

Location 4: Bathtub
We filmed this scene at my house because we wanted to finish two scenes in one day. The bath tub was ideal because we needed her to look a bit deranged. No one would submerge themselves in a tub of water wearing a dress unless they were a bit delusional. We also filmed this right after school to get good lighting.

Location 5: Lighter
This location could be shot anywhere, however it was best to shoot it at my own house so that I could wait until it was dark, close all the curtains and then film. We also needed a place that was silent so my house was perfect. You cannot really see the background in this footage, which is good news, because the whole point was to highlight my face and the darkness that surrounded me.

Location 6: Park
We used the park next to our school because it had everything we needed. It had a swing set, which looked child friendly and this showed the audience that when Veronica is 'normal' she laughs and is just really happy. This is kind off creepy since you can clearly see the difference between the park location and the location when she is alone in the dark. It also had a plain and empty land, where we see nothing but grass, which was perfect and exactly what we needed for the running scene.

Location 7: Alleyway
This location was ideal because we needed a creepy, narrow place where no one walked through. This was for the film, so that the audience could see that she is alone, but also so that no one could hear me breaking the alcohol bottle. The floor was hard enough to break the bottle in one shot, and we had dried up trees and plants that added to the effect.

Soundtrack
|
At the beginning we started to edit the trailer with this soundtrack and it sounded very good and it was running very smoothy with the scenes and it made the trailer look and sound very professional as whole.
|
|
But as a back up soundtrack for our trailer we found
Kwabs - Last Stand and Daniela Andrade - Bang Bang, that sounded very good and it seemed like it would be suitable for our trailer just in case youtube wouldn't allow the us to upload the trailer due to copyright. |
